think i broke my tranny
well this weekend i decided to go to the track . during my first run , off the line i wheel hopped really bad and right after the wheel hop, the car act like it was in natural. i put it into any gear it wont go anywhere so i thought i broke an axle. well after the embarrassment of getting pulled down the track we checked to axles and both where not broken or torn . so i jacked up the car and put in any gear just to check and here's what it is doing.
passenger side wheel locks up like it supposed to while in gear with car off.
drivers side just sits there and spin like the axle is not inwhile in gear with the car off.
tried to wiggle the axle to see if it was loose but its not so my car is still sitting at the track
my setup is 93 coupe
d15b vtec
dx tranny
greddy 15g kit
stock axles
stock psi
plus when i spin the drives side wheel while in gearwith the car off, once every 30 seconds it will lock then it will begin to just spin again. any help will be very appreciated
this is just on regular street tires

Wheel hop allows the tire to speed up while off loaded then it slams into the ground where the diff absorbs a huge shock while it slows down suddenly then pops off the ground speeds up slams into the ground shocking the diff again by suddenly slowing down etc etc. It's murder on parts inside the tranny. By allowing that to go on you broke the spider gears inside the differential. You will either need to buy an LSD or weld the diff which sucks for street driving. Either way it's gonna have to come out and get taken apart cause it's smoked.

get the car towed as said above. you can break axles on pretty stock car. its just luck and how you stage the car up for launch. Stock axles have held up with over 500hp, but at the same time, I've broken axles on cars only making 140hp.
