HELP - damn it
ok, to add to my injuries...
i check my car now (after i replaced the rotors) and there's this gooey green/black fluid near the pivot-joint??, and all over the rims...near the rotors, what the hell is that??
anyone know? it's like brake fluid or something.

probably should change out those wheel bearings. I did when I put new rotors on. You have 2 get them pressed into the new rotor though. Grease sounds like blown cv boot.

Yep, that's lithium grease from the cv boot. Check on the boots to make sure they're split/splieed; if they are, you'll have to swap out the axles. You can get rebuild kits from Auto Zone, or you can just get a rebuilt axle, then take your old acxle back to get a core charge refund. I'd do it the latter way, if I were you. Rebuilding your axle isn't hard, but lithium grease is incredibly nasty stuff that doesn't come out of clothing very easily.
