i just installed my d15b which has currently about 45k miles on it and i replaced everything that i could without cracking the motor open cause of the mileage. Everytime i stat the car i get a large amount of black liquid that shoots out all over the pavement then it stops for when i drive i think. I think its just carbon though im not sure, but i burn about 1-1.5 quarts an oil change. Could it be anything other than the rings....pcv?

The car does have a erratic idle more on cold days but it stops after a couple revs.

Any ideas about what could cause the oil to be disappearing like that?

 

do a leak down and a comp test
