ok im driving along in my stock 94 dx (except for the intake and headers) and the oil light comes on. so im like "wtf, i just changed my oil 2k miles ago". i stop at my friends house and let the car cool down. i checked the oil level 4 hours later and found that theres no oil in the motor! i know for a fact that i dont have any oil leaks.

i notice that when i downshift, a puff of black smoke comes out of the exhaust. i posted about this before and determined that the motor was running rich. i dont think thats the case anymore. i think the engine is swallowing the oil. the engine has about 150k miles on it....should i be using thicker oil?? i used 10w-40 last.

I have the same problem on my d15b7, Im guessing bad valve seals or rings?

How long has this been going on?
May try the "high mileage" oil.

i just bought the car earlier this year. the last owner said that he always had that prob. im thinkin the rings are bad. im gunna do a compression test tommorow

yeah same here, but on my LS motor. thing seems to go somewhere cuz im not leaking the thing out.. weird. when you figure out wassup let us know
