Do you have any idea how vtec works? Vtec has nothing to do with the transmission. Its all based on Oil pressure built up inside the engine.
Theres nothing wrong with the F22 trans. The only practical reason I see to changing the trans is to get a prelude LSD trans. If you really have time and money to throw at it, consider an H2B swap and get a better geared B series trans. But thats just my $.02

That vid is based on the marine engine, but its the same principal.

I don't think that would be beneficial to an Accord. First you have to by the H2B adapter, you could also get H2D. Then you have to make a custom tranny mount. Then you have to figure some way to mount and make the shifter and shifter rods work in the Accord. Not worth it in my opinion. Now if this was in a Civic or Integra, then it would be worth it to go H2B or H2D.

no, he is right. there is a huge improvement in acceleration with an h-series trans. i have ridden in multiple f series trans h22s and dropping out of vtec between shifts is a problem

i want to see the page that is on the FAQ's page but it wont load up! Anywayz i wanted to keep the f22 tranny because the whole H22a swap is going to be way more that i anticipated. The car needs Both inner and outer tie rods. The wheel hubs may need to be replaced it needs a new hood and i would also like to retain the Pw steering and A/C. the car in general needs alot of maintnence and i rather just have an h22 for the time being and later after i pay off next semesters tuition ill get the h22 tranny. While im at it how much would it be to convert the autotentioner on the timeing belt to a manual off of the h23?

yeah, their site was down for a few days. Apparently the provider changed the IP addresses without saying anything which caused other problems. Check it again, it should work now.

According to the link in the FAQ, your looking at about 140 for the conversion parts and additional for the new timing belt and balancer belt. So probably 200-220 depending on the prices you find.

the H22 is a high strung motor....so most of its power is up high in the rev bands...
try sourcing a JDM transmission like the M2B4 LSD...it's gearing will help u hit VTEC faster and keep the rpm's up...plus the LSD is some good icing on the cake.

sorry, I forgot I posted in this thread.
Are you ******* kidding me? Have you driven an h22 powered car on a f series tranny?
There is this new technology out, I don't know if you've heard of it... IT'S CALLED GEAR RATIOS YOU IDIOT.
why the expletive do you think people put in different final drives? oh yeah I almost forgot..... to change the gear ratios, oh and what does that do? Helps you accelerate.
oh yeah, wow. I need a VTAK lesson from someone who reccomends an h2b swap in an accord.
all the oil pressure builds up and it has nowhere to go except the vtak sauce valve, and then BOOM BOOM BANG KACHOW! It throws your car forward like you were just rearended by a school bus...helping you accelerate to the speeed of light!that's vtak for you!
to the OP, if you want to stay N/A, stay away from the f22 tranny. all it will help you do is save gas. I still got around 400 with my f tranny.

Saw it coming before I even got to your response. Where can I get some VTAK sauce anyway? I want some "KACHOW".
