Default H23 with a F22 Tranny??????

I have a 91 Honda Accord LX and was wanting to swap a H23 in it and keep my f22 tranny, what are the pros and cons of this swap. would it be worth it. And has anyone done this, just wanting to hear everyones perspective on this swap.

i heard the F tranny has longer gears....so if you hook it to a vtec H motor it will drop out of vtec during high rpm shifting.

for normal us its no big deal, but i know some people wouldn't want that.

You could try comparing the gearing and final drives between the two transmissions. That might give you an idea of how different they would be.

i dont think it will be that noticeable. you'll get better mpg tho which is a plus. its not like you would loosing all kinds power anyway bc that motor doesnt have any to loose

X2

if your using a H23 then it don't matter too much.

now if your going h22, then i would rather have a h22 tranny, but still if your on a budget & can get a F tranny cheap then go fir it.
