wierd idle !
hey guys ive been having a wierd problem lately ... everytime i apply the barkes my idle will drop .. same with when i turn on the lights.
i have a 94' Dx stock .
i just replaced the distributor and the timing has been set .
i was thinking it might be the alternator not charging properly ....
some help would be appreciated
ooo and does ABS come standard with a 94 dx ?

the IACV/EACV on the back of the intake manifold controls the idle from every aspect.
When the car has an extra load put on it (headlights, brake lights, ac, heater fan) it takes away a little power and the car tends to idle lower. to fix this the IACV allows more air past the throttle plate to bring it back up.
now that we are past that.
clean the thing out.
2, 12mm bolts hold it on to the back of the intake manifold
undo those bolts.
pull away the IACV, its gonna be black/nasty/carbonized/blah blah
take a handy dandy can of carb cleaner and spray that crap out
now its all white/silver/shiny/orbitz clean
go ahead and replace the gasket on the iacv, its figure 8 shaped, 4.97 from Honda, special order part.
put 2, 12mm bolts back on
warm car up, drive, test, be happy.
come back if that doesnt fix it
