Default gauge cluster swap....speedo not accurate

I bought a SI gauge cluster from a friend, and he rolled the odometer to match up to my current kms. I noticed that the speedo isnt accurate anymore. It is reading somewhere around 65kms when i am really doing 50kms. Is it just the way he put the needle back on? Or something else?

If you haven't changed your rims/tires, then your buddy probably put the needle on in the wrong position. Run the stock steelies and recal. with your original cluster until it is right. I guess you need some form of measurement such as a car following you or a radar gun(there's tons in my town at intersections).

The car has a 5in tach for the time being. So what i did was get the car to 50kms and it was 1500rpm in 4th gear. I swapped gauge clusters and left the 5in tach in just to test the new cluster. In 4th gear at 1500rpm the speedo is saying 65kms. I tried pulling the needle off and placing it at zero but it didnt help at all.

Why the hell you keep posting in different threads about your indiglos? This has been the 3rd I've seen.

Just shut up. Putting indiglos on won't make his speedometer accurate. Reported for trying to sell in tech.

The way you're positioning it is why the speedo is off. Try setting it lower. Underneath the little stick that comes up. Don't worry, when you power on, it will spin back to zero.

All honda speedos/tachs must be pointed a certain direction to be perfectly calibrated to spec.
