gauge cluster repair
eh. i broke the needle off my temp gauge.. can this be repaired or do i have to buy a whole new one>? btw, cluster is 99-00 si.

You could probably just get another needle and stick it on.
Did you break the needle, or the part inside of the cluster that the needle connects to?

if you broke the needle and half of the needle shaft is still in the cluster, then you have to buy new gauge.
ie: if you broke the tach needle, then you have to buy new tach gauge not the whole cluster

damn it! i broke the needle, the silver shaft is still inside the cluster..

yes you can, but you have to buy the fuel/temp gauge as a unit. unless you find one from another car that you can take off the needle safelly.
FYI: to take out the needles on the civic clusters is harder then the integra ones.
for the civic you have to use a heat gun or a hair drier to worm up the needle shaft and then use a fork to pull up straight.
that way you don't brake the needle.
BTW: I found that hair drier works better with less chance of melting the gauges.
