chipping ECU
im not too sure if this is the right spot to post this but i have a question. my cousin has a 99 LS integra and we were jus wounding is it worth it to chip an LS ECU or is it a waste of money? and if we do should we expect a big difference???? thank you
Complete waste of money to 'chip the ecu'...that is unless you are chipping it for the fact of adding turbo/supercharger or having your engine built NA.
Those ebay ECU chips, all they do is eliminate your fuel cutoff and give your ecu richer MAP's
IMO save your money for header/intake/exhaust mods

WHat you have to realise with chipping an ECU is that you're just reworking the fuel MAP, and with the LS, there is little room for improvement to be made because of an engine that wasn't built for performance.

I/H/E will always help it, flow in and out more air

correct, but I'd sitll recomend deciding on what you want, getting a exhaust system, good intake and good header then having it tuned to pull out some ponies out of the maps
