Common prob on the Sohc Tranny?

Common prob on the Sohc Tranny?
Is it a common prob on the sohc tranny, generally on the D15b7's, for the input shaft bearing to wear out and make noise, or is this just something that happended to me?

common on trannys that have never been serviced.
I've only seen 1 bad input shaft bearing (D15B7!) but the SLUDGE that came out of the tranny was unreal.

i saw a similar problem this weekend. my friends 97 civic dx. Whenever going slow in 1st or 2nd it made like a nasty noise, like he was going in reverse.
