Bad Throttle Response...
Bad throttle response in my '00 Accord(f23a4)... Intake, Header, OBX Dual Exhaust, Racing Down pipe. Megan Test Pipe... Engine has 52k on it... Anyone have this problem or have any ideas or solutions? I have a stage 3(6 puck) clutch and prolite flywheel and a short throw shifter that i havent put in yet... Maybe that will help but im not sure...
Recently went to ****... when i shift and go to step on the gas, the car stutters, almost a pause before the power hits. A quck clean shift from 2nd to 3rd and the car will seem to hesitate after i let the clutch out and hit the throttle.
try to adjust the throttle, make sure its pull out all the way and run some cleaner through it. (might work)
actually if its a throttle adjustment problem the car would seem to be slower and not have as much getty up.

This vehicle is notorious for EGR problems. Honda has a bulletin on this issue. Honda's fix is to remove the intake manifold, clean EGR ports, and replace EGR valve. I can provide instructions if you need them. Also, the throttle body gets 'carboned' and causes some sticking (although the symptoms of that issue are: sticking acc. pedal when depressed).
This should take care of the problem...if the described symptoms are correct.

Sounds like your clutch is toast to me, either that or it wasn't installed correctly(unless you do it yourself, good help is hard to find). Cause it only does it after shifts and i bet it feels like a lag and then it grabs, I bet your TB is fine... your clutch is where your problem most likely is.
Yeah like a lag, then it will pick right back up, i have a stage 3 clutch to install and a new flywheel, then i will see what it really is. But no, the car has lost its "giddy up" on some days, other days it will be fine. And the idle is shaky when its cold, but i tihnk its because i have no o2 sensor in my test pipe.
Five bucks says your ULEV emissions engine hates your guts for putting a stinking free flowing 'test pipe' in place of it's beloved catalytic converter, and the secondary O2 sensor had taken a ****. This would throw the ECU in and out of limp mode, which after quite a while of driving with this overly rich mixture could expletive up your primary O2 sensor, leading to what could be described as horrendous performance.

Yeah, that's what I described above, only you're in the fast track.
With that setup (no secondary O2), I can say for certain that you're running atleast a 9:1 AFR if not even more rich. Upping my bet to $20 that your primary is KIA.

I bet if you are crusing down the road, and put it in neutral, then stomp it, it'll choke its way up to maybe 4-4.5K if you're lucky, and probably puff a little black smoke for added effect.
Yup... It run rich as hell...And you're probably right about throwing the engine in and out of "limp mode", Cuz some days it will run golden other days it will **** itself...
