runaway throttle?!
OK guys I got me a screwy problem here... yesterday my throttle started sticking randomly; the car would acclerate with no pressure on the throttle, or it would reach for the rev limiter when out of gear, then it would stop and be fine. Couldn't figure out what was going on but then I noticed I wasn't making boost so I checked and one of my IC pipes was hanigng loose. I can't figure out how these would be related but it seems like the only factor that could have contributed. The throttle seems to move with no resistance in either direction and the cable appears to be attached and tensioned propperly.
Only thing I can think of is that maybe the loose IC pipe sucked something in and there's debris interfering with the throttle or IAC or something like that... has anyone had similar problems? I'm totally confused and a little bit scared!

Re: runaway throttle?! (VaporTrail)
Ya I'm definitely going to do that before I drive the car again. Could have some little gnomes runnin around in my throttle body or something.
I was just wondering if there's any reason aside from sticking throttle for that to happen... but I'm pretty sure that any fuel problems would not be able to rev it like that unless the throttle opened up; so I guess the only other possibility is if the idle control is screwing something up.
