I was wondering if the hatch of a rex has a trigger like the front doors so the lights could automatically turn on when you open it... where is it? i need to splice into the wire.

 

Go to a car stereo shop. They can install a 'pin' in the hatch, used for the alarm. Im pretty sure it splices into the door ajar wires in one of the front doors. Usually its installed with an alarm so the thieves cant get through the back hatch.

 

So the hatch doesnt have one stock?

 

no but you can take one off any cars front doors from like a ford truck drill the hole. Screww it in and wire it up.

PS: there is only one wire to run cause when you screw it in its grounded.

how much do the pins usually cost at an alarm shop?

 

about 15 bucks maximum. Wouldnt pay anything more cause you can get at junk yard for free.

 

Mine was $30 bucks installed. If I would have installed it, the alarm warranty would have been voided.

 

My hatch has a trigger stock. The light on the side comes on when I pop it. Maybe it was only on the Si.
