Default Flame shooting out intake??? WTF!!!

I have a rebuilt b16 swap w/ctr pistons and adjustable cam gears with buddy club spec 3 cams in a 92-95 coupe? When trying to start up for the first time it wants to throw a flame out the intake?? I have heard that it more then likely would be the ignition and havent had time to check that yet?? Any Help??

Check your timing. This often occurs when a vehicle is not timed correctly.

Either 1. Firing order is wrong (usually the case). 2. Timing is way off. Look into 1 before 2.

Buddy had the same problem. Timing was wrong. Check your firing order then timing.

Check the timing and make sure the plug wires are in the correct order

I like the way the two possibilities that anybody would suggest were mentioned in the 1st 2 posts...then repeated saying that in the next 7 posts.

I agree with luserkid in the first two things I'd suggest doing.

No need to be bitter, dude. They're just agreeing with the original possibilities, like you are.

Nothing personal, just noticed a tone

Are you really going to bitch about too much information and confirmation in a technical thread now?
