Eg coupe Auto to 5spd.
hey peeps. i've got a 94coupe ex and just recently wrecked it. I found a 95 eg coupe that's automatic. it's a DX. I wanna drop my motor and tranny in it. What's all needed for the auto to 5spd conv? i have an entire parts car so i'm not sure if i'll need to buy extra parts with the exception to an auto to 5spd mount... if that's even necessary. any cutting necessary for the shifter?
Yeah if you have the car that was wrecked its not hard at all. Switch the pedals out (brake and clutch), mount the slave cylinder, run the hard line, and you will have to connect two wires under the automatic shifter together (so the car thinks its always in park so you can start it). Change the ecu, put in the motor and trans.. and thats pretty much it.
Yeah you need to buy the auto to manual mount. also, you will have to drill the mount holes for the shifter but you can see where they should be so its not hard. And you want to cut a piece of metal out so you can cover the larger hole the auto shifter left.

sweet... that's all i thought it was. question about the holes for the shift linkage. i kno the ones on my car are threaded into the car itself. when i pop my holes... are there threads in there or do i have to use a stud and nut?
