Hope I can get inputs on my steering problem 'cuz its been annoying me and my OC.

So here it is.. So my tires are facing flat front, perfectly aligned with the steering wheel. When I hold the steering wheel there is a little play around an inch to the right and left, without the tires moving (regardless if engine is running or not).

My concern here is not that when the car is parked but when I want to make those little steers and when running at higher speeds. It makes those little steers unprecise because of the play, you think you've turned it a little but its actually just the steering play. Also when running at higher speeds, the car feels a little more "floaty" and loose on the steering wheel because of the play.

Anyone who's have had the same experience on theirs?

maybe you need a rack adjustment.

take a look at it and try to figure out where the play is actually coming from. you will probably need 2 people.

 

How do you make a rack ajustment?

 

if you dont know id take it to a shop thats dealing with hydraulics and they arent forgiving

check to see where the freeplay is actually coming from, and if its the rack adjustment, there is a procedure in the manual. GL
