LS, they're cheap as hell if you blow one and handle boost very well.

My bad.

Yeah it is a "stock parts" motor lol. Just a little more work involved. Not a fan of the gsr head or IM sorry. I just want the vtec prepped block with no outer oil lines to run and capable of high rpms with a high ratio tranny.

what he said. LS is perfect for turbo. doesn't hurt that they're super cheap too.

he said what would make more power, not be more reliable or cheaper. GSR would make more power.

Oh boy, another thread that is based around personal preference and no real technical aspect.
Its the same as asking domestic guys if small or big block is the way to go....its stupid.
Or wait...its the same as the thread just recently - b16 vs ls
Same damn threads over and over and over and over and over and over and over

But, so you dont get sand in your vagina...
I went with LS - more torque, less money, just as good as gsr with better valvetrain. and head work

x2... I think next time someone creates a thread like this they should set some parameters. A general question like this is going to make this thread continue on forever and ever. To the OP, obviously you are asking this for a reason... how much WHP are you looking for, how much do you want to spend and what is the motor going to be used for (dd, auto-x, drag)? Answer those 3 questions realistically and you will get answers that will help you with "your" situation.

couldnt have said it better. gsr block wi b16 head (with itr valvetrain) is the best bet. 10.3 comp i believe. the head lowers it
