Yeah, especially if you like running slower than with a GSR/B16 trans, and potentially falling out of boost on shifts

Yo man, mah LS trans on mah TURBO cah go so fast, I replaced mah GSR and VTEC kicks in 143 RPM fastAR!

I went through it too, bought into the hype that an LS trans just rocks the paint off the wall for a turbo car. I had a hatch with an 81.5mm GSR and a .81 A/R PT67. and on the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift it would fall down almost into vacuum. On the 3-4 shift it only fell down to 5 pounds of boost so I guess that was OK.

it depends on

how high you're revving
what size slicks you're running

I'm growing tired of spoon feeding you guys.

No crap. Lets recap from the last 18 million threads on the this topic:

-Shortest geared tranny will accelerate the quickest.
-Most people cop out and get a LS tranny or gsr tranny to aid in traction and to "stay in boost longer" which blah.
-Get a good tire, suspension and boost controller setup to compensate for traction....not longer gearing.
-MPG suffers with the shorter geared tranny.....get LS 5th gears to solve this hype.
-Only get longer gears if your rev/tire size/mph limit you from running the shortest geared tranny.
