car is a 00 civic dx, motor is obd1 gsr, using 99-00 si harness and part of gsr harness. is there going to be some extra plugs since im using a obd2 harness?

and anyone got a picture of what a 99-00 si dizzy plug on the harness looks like? i think this is it but not sure cuz it looks totally different than my dseries and gsr.

Your going to have to move your injectors, and all sensors over to the GSR. As well as picking up a 98-01 B series alternator and dist. This would be alot easier then you trying to splice the harness. But if you want to then look around for some write ups thats around. I would just convert it to obd2 by getting the things i mentioned.

well i want to convert to obd1 since im going to turbo later on so i think it would be better to do now.

theres 2 options, you can use your si harness if you want obd2b which is alot more strict on emmisions or you can use your gsr harness but the car wil automatically fail inspection becuase it is supposed to be obd2. You need mounts, linkage, axles, rear bracket, tranny brackets,driver side bracket, ecu and you should be good.

What all do you need to do for the gsr harness to work?

The GSR harness won't work. The 96-00 Civics engine harness is one whole piece with the main wire harness. This means there is no way to un-plug the civic harness and plug in the integra engine harness (like on an EG swap)...

Your gonna have to run the Si harness, and switch certain plugs over to the OBD-1 style. I know you must do the injectors, and the distributor. Perhaps the alternator and some other stuff. If your good at wiring, just cut off the plugs you need from the GSR harness & solder/heat-shrink them onto the Si harness.

Your still gonna have to add the IAB plug & wire that directly to the ECU since the Si didn't have the IAB dual-stage manifold. If you don't want to do that, just get an aftermarket single-stage intake manifold that fits the GSR head (like Skunk 2)...

And don't forget about your ckp-crank position sensor found behind the crank pulley. That is required for obd2 but none others.

Did you convert your distributor and fuel injection to OBD1 already? The ground loop in your first pic looks like the one that goes to the thermostat housing. Be sure to attach that or the car's not going to run at all.

Injectors yes, but not the dizzy yet, trying to figure that out in the first picture. i'll get the ground int hen

 

Ok the the red is the dizzy and the green is the thermostat ground (in first pic). Now the colors off the si dizzy plug does not match up witht he colors off the gsr dizzy plug. What am I supposed to do?

 

anyone have a diagram of the obd2 to obd1 so i know what wires go where on the dizzy??
