Also, if the level is fine. Drain the oil out of tranny and look for metal shavings. Put in GM or royal purple syncromesh oil
Might help the problem

Hit me up w/ an IM if you need it fixed. The only way to diag a trans is to hear it myself but, you should def. get it fixed b4 you tear up more than already is. That syncromesh or any other additive is a bandaid and does not fix the problem. Get it fixed.
thanks for the help guys i have been wanting to actually check the fluid but the way the weather has been these past few weeks it hasnt even left the garage, i have been wanting to get the tranny flushed the right way, one of my mechanic buddies told me there is a pump kinda thingy that completely cleans the tranny out so i have been wanting to try that out.. . . but as far as i know it aint the syncros cuz there is no grinding. . . but i really worried about it. . . by the way what is GM oil ? ? ? i know what royal purple is and i was planning on going with that or just keeping the honda fluid. . .thanks again guys
I personally would bring it somewhere like honda/acura and pay the 30-40 bucks diagnostic fee. From there you decide how and when to fix it, but at least you'll have alot better idea of whats wrong instead of guessing and spending money on something that may not fix it.

Your mechanic friend is wrong, man. You dont pump out a manual trans. You do that to an automatic trans. There's nothing really to pump. The fluid just stagnates until the gears rotate into it and throw it everywhere. There's no pump in the trans....so pumping it out of the trans would be useless. Anyway, you dont need to pump it out. Just pull the drain plug, and it will all rush out. Just like oil. The reason to pump an automatic trans is to get all the fluid from the torque converter as well as the pan. Just:
1.) jack up the car
2.) make sure you can take off the 17mm fill bolt FIRST
3.) take off the drain bolt using a 3/8'' ratchet. The ratchet clips right into the bolt no socket.
4.) Drain into a relatively clean bucket so you can inspect for metal shavings.
5.) Let it drain for a while. Go eat a burrito, or watch some TV or something.
6.) Refill with geniune honda fluid. Some people suggest GM (general motors) Syncromesh or Royal purple.
7.) The full capacity of the trans is about 2.5 quarts. If you let it drain for an hour or more, you'll need that. If not, you'll need 2 quarts.
8.) Put drain plug back in, get a funnel with a spout and pour in the fluid into the hole for the 17mm fill plug you took off earlier.
9.) When fluid starts to run out of the trans, you're full. make sure the car is level when you're doing this. Jack up the rear as well. Put the drain plug back in
10.) ENJOY!
The above steps should only be followed if you know that the fluid is old and crappy or missing and causing your problems. If it's something else mechanical, changing the oil is useless, or at most a bandaid, as mentioned above.
