When i'm on the freeway after awhile my 5th gear pops out of place.... does anyone know why this is happening..............?

Probably a bent shifter fork.

 

Before you do replace that, check and replace your shift linkage bushings.

 

could be low on fluid, you may have a small leak, the synchro could be going....

 

This was happening to my brother once. I checked the tranny fluid, and it was really low. I drained, and re-filled it with Honda MTF, and it hasn't happened again.

 

does it happen when you let go of the gas. if so it may be a bad synchro. if not it may just be something simple like everyone else said. tranny fluid etc.

I agree, I'm willing to bet ya that you are just low on fluid... Drain it, dump a couple quarts of MTF in there and see how it goes... If that's not it, then consider opening up the tranny... Good Luck and let us know how it goes... Latez

 

Thanks for the feedback guys...... I'll check up on it and let you guys know what happend..... I just changed fluids not too long ago so i'll recheck it incase I didn't put enough... Good looking out guys...... lates

 

ya, i had the same problem, my fluids were low and it popped out, put in tranny fluid and it went away.
