Default b16 swap into a 93 eg problems

the engine is out of a jdm sir-II. We used the jdm wiring harness and extended the wires so they would reach. We had some trouble and confusion with that but we think that it is straightened out now because the car runs, idles, and revs just fine. The b16 has an automatic tranny. Here's the problem..... when the car is put in gear and an attempt to accelerate is made, the motor bogs down and stalls.
What is going on?!

...Have 2 computers- the one that came with the swap is a P72- The other is a P28... with the P28 the car cranks, idles, and revs well, and when it is shifted into gear you can feel the transmission engage, but as soon as you press the gas the car bogs out. I tried the P72, but it kicked on the check engine light, caused the motor to run rougher, and the engine to cut out even faster when trying to accel in gear- any thoughts
