Default internal wastegate actuator rod question

i got a bone stock d15b7 that im gonna boost. im gonna use a td04 turbo with an internal wastegate set at 8.7 psi.. i dont want to boost that much, i want to boost 5-6 psi. so my question is: the actuator rod on the wastegate has threads and a nut, so im guessing its adjustable? so if i make the rod longer, and have the flapper partially open, will it let me boost less?

it still has alot to do with the spring, but:
longer = less boost
shorter = more boost
the shorter the rod, the less it can open, less exh getting out, more boost.

i konow it has to do with the spring, but its an internal wastegate and its sealed, so the spring cant be changed. so i will boost less if i make the rod longer right?

thats what i said.....you will only be able to run the least boost the spring will allow though.

you cant lower boost lower than what the wastegate is set for, so your only option is to get another actuator with a lower wastegate setting. but if i was you id just tune your car for 8 psi. It will handle it and be alot funner than 5 or 6 psi
