Default Recomendations for HVLP Spray Guns? DevilBiss GTI 620, or SATA. etc?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask.

Im interested in getting a spray gun, yet undecided whats good for its money.
I love the SATA, but replacement parts from tha germans seems too expensive.

Any suggestions? $300-400 range will work.

Thanks

Looks like I must go with the Devilbiss 670. Since all the other guns require a 15cfm compressor. -

The 670 requires only 10cfm.

Any suggestions

I had a satajet, it got stolen you could take a bum off the street show him how to pull the trigger and he could lay down a mean paint job. two years ago when we bought it I think it was in the 525 range no digital regulator though.

If you want a good gun go sata. Pure quality. With that being said I have one forsale, brand new. Its on the forsale forum.

I've always liked Iwata. I have an LPH 300(I think that's what it is) and 3 Iwata airbrushes. I also have a Sata mini jet. It's real nice also.

i havent heard anything good about the GTI... thats why i opted for its big sister.... lemme find the link.

http://www.spraygunworld.com/p...0.htm

really happy with the quality... belive me i was just like you wondering which one to get. i ended up buying it off that site and i got it about 7 days later. BTW the price for the PLUS at my local bady shop was 550.00 for the same gun, and they didnt even carry the GTI cause they said no one was interested. sprays excellent, painted 3 black hoods and an white MR2 with it so far. Devil PLUS FTW!

btw: read about the transfer efficiency

The GTI is an excellent gun for base, especially for metallics but its an air hog. At my house I just use a finishline on a 33 gallon compressor and it does the jobjust fine

I use both the iwata w400 and te lph400.......Iwata's are the best guns but they are not the right gun for EVERYONE.........i use the lph400 for base and the w400 for clear...These guns are like waterhoses WFO.......they bust paint and clear up better than any gun i have ever used.....After i went to an Iwata i used my Sata 2000 digital for PRIMER

You use the LPH for for base, how come not for clear. Everyone I know uses the w400 for base and the LPH for clear.

Good stuff. Im still 33/33/33 about a gun. -=P

What compressor do you guys shoot with, your iwata and sata? I find it hard to find something nice that supports the CFM the gun requires. Which only reason I am leaning for the Devilbiss gfg670, since the CFM requirement is 9cfm. Either way, I will need to buy a gun and compressor.

$1k limit for both would be idealy awesome! (compressor and gun)

Up for more good info's.

Im sorry but I wouldn't start off with something expensive like a SATA JET or DeVilbiss.Maybe a Sharpe to get started .So if you leave something in it ,you wont be kicking yourself in the head for a $150 rebuild kit.Either way just make sure it's gravity feed

id still go with a devil. dont listen to the post above^. you wont be kicking ureself for buying a nice gun, you will be kicking ureself if you dont.

a cheaper gun is disposibale, and the more expensive ones will last a lifetime... then you can still sell it when ure 90.
