oil pressure gauges???
i was fixing to but an oil pressure gauge....which one do i get a manual or an electric...i would prefer the electric so i wouldnt have an oil line run all the way to the inside of my car but not sure if an electric will work and if it will, where do i connect it to???
The electric comes with a sensor. From the block to the sensor its an oil line (mounted in the engine bay). The sensor to the gauge is electric.
I personally don't like the senders. I've had issues with them before, and the elec. gauges are around $100 more than the mechanical ones. A stainless line going to the gauge inside the cabin isn't going to "KILL EVERYONE IN THE CAR BY DROWNING THEM IN OIL" (LOL) like most would have you believe.
I'll take that chance with the stainless.

so you are saying that the electric oil pressure gauges are not reliable and mych more expensive...so if i get a mechanical where do i put it in the block....where the original oil sending unit was???
The electric IS more expensive, and in my opinion I trust the mechanical over the long haul. You can tap it into the oil pressure sending port with a block fitting. If you need one, I have them.
