Default b20z finally here but one question

just got my b20z from hmotoronline and by the way for everybody asking where to buy a b20z go to hmotorsonline there the best, anyway i have a 1996 integra auto and about to do some serious constrution on my car basically tranny swap and motor swap.my question is can i leave the knock sensor unpluged and have no problems running the motor cause i know my integra ls does not come with that sensor so i dont have a plug for it and second wat kind off gas r u using for the b20z due to the higher compression pistons. 87or89or91 octane?please let me know about to start swaping this thing within a week

whats the compression of a b20z? I dunno how you would go about the knock sensor because even if you hardwire it, is there even a socket on the ECU that would read for it?? I dont think so on any nonvtec USDM ecu

No reason to use anything but 87 in its stock form. You think CRV owners are using 91, or 89 for that matter?

I have a B20B4 block in my 91 GS, didn't use the knock sensor because my ECU doesnt have one. Runs just fine.

To the best of my knowledge, only the B20Z's come with knock sensors.

gsr and i belive the b16 and type-rs come with knock sensors also for the b series family it'll be fine if you dont plug the sensor in because your ecu doesn't run it..
but if you do b20 v-tec and use the v-tec ecu then you would have to run it unless you have a chip for the ecu to elimnate the sensor
it'll be ok

as far as gas any type would do as long as you stay under the 10-5 mark

about the knock sensor i think it just matters what ecu you run for a CEL light to be on or off.

My block was used in a B20/VTEC setup before I got it. It in fact did have a knock sensor.
