good luck getting 12's out of a SOHC unless you turbo or S/C it....going N/A and getting 12's is most likely impossible and not cheap

12's are possible from the sohc. It will take some money but it also will take quite a bit of cash to do a swap.

no no no...you didn't get what i'm saying. B series motor already have more HP than D series motor and it require less EXTRA POWER (less stress on the motor) than the D series motor. I'm in the process of building me a 14 sec 1.6 sohc turbo auto crx as we speak now (as cheap and reliable as i can) and it's not cheap to mod your car to do 12's PERIOD.

okay, so let me get this straight you're comparing cost prices for a d-series mini-me swap, to retail prices for a b16a swap.... hmm.... looks like you dont know much about b series swaps, or maybe you're just trying to make a point w/ bias information. First off, you'd be lucky to pull 15's in that car w/ street tires and a tired *** d series tranny... And where do you get your bseries parts from? Maybe I should hook you up.

b-series swap

b16a/tranny/ecu-1500
mount kit-500
shift linkage-150
axles-150
clutch-300
tb/waterpump-150

total-2750 and a used, tired engine
running mid-high 14's...
b16a/trans/ecu-1100 MAX... for an extra 200-250 you get LSD... your si doesnt have that
Hasports new mount kit-475 WITH the shift linkage
Wiring harness-175
Integra axles-100/150 at a junkyard
act street/strip clutch-280 MAX
JUN3 or CTR/ITR cams-350/700
Matching valve train-300
Set of slicks-200
and why did you put TB/waterpump here? You're telling me that your not going to replace the water pump and timing belt on the d-series when you tear it apart, but you will replace it on a motor that guaranteed to have no more than 35-45K on it?

thats a real 12 second car.... and it doesnt cost 3750.

ok you have to factory in shipping for the b16a, and notice how i put in 500-750 for the extra parts and build up...

plus for the parts you mentioned it costs 3230 adn thats using the itr/ctr cams, and no you will not get a 12 sec car from this at all...probably low 14's to high 13's...your not doing anyting really except adding a cam and letting it rev more...plus the jun3 cams would suck for ******* street...plus how would you tune it without cam gears...add 180 bucks right there...and its still a tired and unknown engine from japan...

and add more money for machining for putting in the cams and valvetrain...wow your about 4000 right there... knucklehead...

Shipping for motor? What about header/exhaust for the B-series? Tuning for the Jun 3's?

Not to be an A$$, but JUST putting in the cost for a pre-made wiring harness makes you lose creditability. That's gotta be the biggest WASTE of money in a swap. Adding wires is SO simple. If you can't do the wiring, you shouldn't be doing the swap. Save the cash for something else.

You think that your setup will hit 12's? I don't. (Keyboard racers ALWAYS hit 12's though!) JMO Overkll

BTW, where are you getting the Kit/linkage for $475? Even with dealer discount the best I could get is $500.

D16Z6 + I/H/E + slicks + ZEX in a lightweight car.

I went 13.09 on a stock motor.
