it really depends on what you plan on doing... they both have potential and money takes you where you wanna go, I say if your going turbo, build up the SOHC - if your going NA, get a b18

or just get a b18, build it, then turbo it... whatever fits your needs

id go for the b18 if i had the choice again. the extra .2 would be nice. i did the b16a1 in my crx but bigger is better and i think that engine weights about the same so theres no reason not to. id go b18

I personally would pick a b-series swap over a D-series SOHC any day, but that's just me. A d16z6(which is what I believe you have)does have potential, but this is really a personal preference kind of decision. A ton of guys here can debate the SOHC vs.the Zc vs. the b-series swaps all day, but what I would concentrate on is this; of the swaps available to you vs. what you already have, what sounds the most appealing to you, and how much does it end up costing? Every single person has a budget, so find what sounds the most impressive to you and stick with it. We'll help you with any additional questions you have. There's a shitload of info on literally every single engine Honda makes, so you shouldn't have a problem finding out the bits and pieces of info about them that you didn't already know. Good luck!

sohc is expensive to make fast, i've put in about 1400 bucks into my sohc and it'll be at most 200 hp at the crank....though this is all N/A. turbo on the other hand would be just like any other engine just about, just gotta have good tuning skills and some wicked sleeves
