Well my buddy is having a problem..... with a jdm eg cluster in a 95 ex coupe
My buddy bought a JDM eg cluster for his car and knowing that no wires had to be swithced he installed it in his car..... Only bad thing is that no that clusters fuel gauge does not read... so he replaced it with the oringinal and the fuel gauge worked ****....
So he switched that jdm eg cluster for another and now that fuel gauge only reads full.....
Any1 got any advice on what to look for or something

correct! 1 fuel gauge read empty and the other full....
so on the second 1 that only read full he moved the needle down to empty hooked it back up and when he went to put in a qtr of a tank it only read full!....
so now he is like wtf because both clusters did not work!

Maybe your friend had extremely bad luck buying two clusters with bad fuel gauges. I had a similar problem with a JDM cluster, bought a new one, and worked fine. The only reason I can think of it not working is because the cluster was tampered with. I found the reason to why my fuel gauge never worked and it was because someone tampered with the cluster.

andre let me know if you want to borrow mine to test. bring your friends car and i'll switch them out and see. i know for a fact my gauge works perfectly fine. it could be a dirty "greenback" where it meets the plugs, see if wiping those down helps in anyway...
i tend to see alot of the jdm gauges being very dirty (copper contacts are dull has ****) compared to the usdm clusters. not sure why???
