Default Ls/vtec-knock sensor-where'd you put yours?

I have an lsvtec turbo in my car. I forgot all about the knock sensor before I installed the engine. Well I tapped a spot in the front of my block to mount it temporarily. Temporarily turned into me putting it off. Well I just broke it installing my turbo. Can anyone tell me where you put yours perminently?
Thanks in advance.

I am also having a dilemma. In my county, we require strict emissions testing.

I recently did an lsvtec swap and I am throwing the knock sensor code due to the b18 not having a knock sensor port.

I have a p28 with an s200 but my question is, how should I wire the knock sensor so that when I swap the obd2 ecu back in for emissions, I will pass?

Any input is appreciated!

What I did was I modified the alternator bracket(the one that bolts on the block)cut it in half,(depending on what year your ls block is it might be cast iron) when I say in half I mean in between the two holes, that way you can still bolt on your alternator. Now all you have to do is tap in to the second hole in the block & your done!!(this might be a bitch if your motor is in your car).To wire it is really easy, just pull out your repair Manuel & look at wire diagram.Good luck!!!!

just get rid of it you dont have to pass obd2 emissions. I have a 1996 obd2 civic and i just get it tested as obd 1. Thats before I moved and now i dont have emissions at all. If your in cali well then your fucked. have a nice day.
