Engines been sitting for 6 months
Hey guys my engine has been sitting for about six months got in in the car and going to be starting it tommorow anything special I should do or just fill it up with oil and fire it up?
I remove the injector connections and the sparkplugs, and then crank it for some time to get max oilpressure before i start it when it has been sitting over the vinter.
Injector connectors: to keep it from sprayng fuel in the chambers.
Sparkplugs: to give less strain on the bearings (zero compression) when i turn it over for the first time.
(i imagine the oilfilm has gone away during long storage?)

Please... stop with the guessing.
getting the oil pressure up / moved to the head before starting is very important.
If you can rock the car back an forth (while off) to shake up the gas thoroughly. But with only six months, you should not have much problems.
But make sure it's fully warmed up before driving it. Let the fan go on then off before moving.

Not sure im from doping some reading it seems like its eiether a ground probl;em or the main relay(but I dont know what that is
)
The main thing I need is a series of checks to go threw to hunt down the problems.

well, here are somethings
1-Enough fuel in the tank---->did u use stabil in it?
2-Battery terminal loose or corroded
3-Fuel not reaching the fuel rail
4-Ignition components damp or damaged
5-Spark plugs still good?
6-Check the distributor and make sure the wires are all in properly
7-Might be a faulty coil in the dizzy.

If you look underneath your hood, there is a fuse box near the battery. The ECU fuse is labeled and easy to find.

I was under the assumption that because of Honda's PGMFI system, the fuel injectors wont spray if there is no spark signal, no? Either way, it can't hurt.
