Default I NEED HELP BaD!!!!

okay i got a honda civic ex 2007 auto... so far i got injen CAI and alpha hid 6000k and eibach spring... now im plannigh to get a magnaflow cat back exhaust... and my question is if i bought the megan down pipe is it worth it???? and is it going or do i have to take the catalityc converter out or what????? cause i heard how the catalityc converter is connected somewhere in headers or by the engine block!!! pls... help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't mod my auto either, i just go for looks but none of that air intake or exhaust crap, it's a joke IMO !!

im guessing though that the consensus is that if he wants the exhaust, that is all he should get. it looks like most people, w/ or w/o an SI, believe that the megan downpipe will add very little gains for an NA application for the cost.

dunno about the whole cat thing...but it is located right after the headers (open your hood and you cant miss it for us r18ers). i would assume it connects after the cat

The catalytic converter couldn't be connected to the block or head, it is a wear item and as such needs to be removed to be replaced. I don't believe the Megan Downpipe will add much performance simply because IMO the biggest constriction in the exhaust pathway is the one piece head/manifold design. Unfortunately the car was designed around emissions and fuel economy which hurts its performance.

i wasnt bashing on him,i gave him a link to the downpipe thread cause he wanted to know if there are any gains which there arent any,prolly 1.5 hp gain lol
