Default Balance crank with Clutch and FW?

Do you think it is worth it to have the crank, clutch, and flywheel to balance it together? I am getting new clutch and have the engine pretty much apart, so I wonder if I should do it.

It is a great idea to balance them togther. It's money well spent. Balance the pistons too while your at it.

Pistons, rods, crank is what I'd consider balancing the bottom end.

I, personally, wouldn't balance the FW and clutch with the rest of the parts.

Why not?

You should have them balance the bottom end first, then balance it again with the flywheel and crank pully on. That way they dont cut your flywheel to balance the block, they only cut it when you actually balance it(flywheel) with the crank pully. (just in case you need to change flywheels someday) I can never put what I'm thinking into words well, I hope you can figure out what I'm saying

Also make sure they index the flywheel to the crank so that you can assemble the unit correctly to minimize vibrations.

It is not necessary to do the clutch and pressure plate because if you change them at some point the balance will not be the same!

Anyone know normally how much does it cost to balance the crank, fw and clutch together?

Reid, I would like to know the reason you said don't bother?

My bottom end is already balanced, just wonder if I should balance them with the FW and clutch too?

Just balance everything separately
if everything is balanced then it wont matter what the orientation is
