D17+N20=???
I have heard a lot of people on here say that the only hope for a D17 is to turbo it. Well thats alot of money for a $500 engine. In my opinion nitrous should work as well if not better then a turbo. Also, it wont be constantly breaking down your engine. I have a wet nitrous kit and very soon it will be installed. Its going to be a safe 40 shot. I just wanted to hear anyone opinions on the d17+N20 combination, preferably people who have done it. How much can it handle, etc...
Go find a nitrous motor, look in the cylinders and tell me again that nitrous doesnt trash motors. Its an oxidizer, it causes a lot of damage in there, especially with cast internals.
No one bothers with nitrous because its good for a minute and then you have to go refill the bottle. Turbos dont need refils.

a 40 shot = maybe 4-5psi?
If u want to keep up with a 8-10 psi turbo'd motor, u will need to rock the 75 shot, which will cause damage in the long run.
But i agree with nitrous being a decent alternative. Its cheap, and can provide good results.
It works fine as long as u have a back up of $$ for bottle fills, and eventually an engine/tranny replacement

I went a about half a year on a 75shot, best time was a 14.2, still needed to work on a couple things but gave up after someone broke into the car and stole the bottle. anyways nitrous isnt all that bad, but be prepared for the refill fees.
