my car idles vary low and wants to shut off everytime i come to a set of lights and when i have a 1/4 tank so i dont know if my gauge is going on me or what so what i do is when i see that the gauge is getting closer to a 1/4 tank i pump more gas
what could it be

 

Runs all perfect up til that 1/4 tank or less?

How does it go about dying, just dies when you come to a stop, or just idles so low that it eventually kicks and dies. Lights go out,, lose power etc

Will it start after turning off right away?

 

yea it starts but if i let it idle low it shuts off
