Default What is the lighest exhaust??

I did a search, but all I found was different opinions on exhaust sounds. Does anybody have any information on the weight of the different exhaust? My stock exhaust on the 88 CRX Si has a 8" hole in it and I need to replace it...I want the lightest/most reasonably priced one out there. What does the stock one weigh?
Thanks!

I think if you want light, go custom. This will allow you eliminate the transverse rear muffler. You can use a larger resonator and smaller rear muffler with the opening on the right side to reduce piping.

get a titanium muffler like an HKS or tanabe, and get some custom piping, that will be pretty light.

I am planning something like that but with 3" and have it exit out the passenger side just before the rear wheel.

Only will add 1-2 lb max and it should be alittle quieter.

in general, the longer the piping, the better (except for the added weight)

no exhaust is the lightest. I would do a custom setup and then just vent outside the side of the car.

if you are going for something streetable i would recommend the (Super) tanabe Rm! its lighter than the older versions. i have on mine and i love it alot quieter than the RM on my Lude!!
But if this is off road car go with custom!!

if your looking for weight reduction in the exuast just have it exit out the side of the car or something similar. Unless you got weights hanging from your exhaust your not gona get that heavy with one, most of em should be around the same weight. or you could just take out the exhaust bearings, those things weigh a ton!

aftermarket exhausts are going to be very close in weight to the stock exhaust. if your car is that stripped that a 2 pound gain from an exhaust is going to make a difference, then it is time to go on a diet. haha
