Cooling system problem?

Default Cooling system problem?

Well I have a interesting problem with my daily beater ef, I can let it warm up and the temp gauge will go up to about normal but as soon as I start driving it drops to the bottom? any ideas? It wouldnt bother me so much if it was summer but its 12 degrees out when I drive to work and my heater feels like ac

Check your thermostat. it might be stuck open. Also check and see if you have pressure in the line. Don

Do you have your electric fan wire directly to a source so that it come son with the key?

IS it full of water?

I'll pull the thermostat and check it, the upper hose has pressure but I never checked the lower. the fan is wired normally it only comes on when the switch turns it on. thanks for the help guys Anything else I should check?

Its never left any puddles so Im gonna assume no leaks but I'll double check

Where you are at it must be really cold.

Do you have any antifreeze in your car or just straight water?

I checked the upper and lower hose they both get hot but no pressure I can squeeze em with my hand no problem. Havent had time to pulll the thermostat yet. And yes there is plenty of antifreeze and hardly any water.
