Default Bogging going into vtec

I just recently had my head milled, new valves, springs, retainers, and cams installed in my b16a. I got everything running fine and when i went to go and test drive it, it boggs down when it hits vtec. I have a light hooked up to tell me when it is in vtec, so when the light came on the car bogged down bad. I have no CEL or anything like that. Does anyone have any idea why it would be doing this?

it's advanced two degrees and the cams are at zero. Would that make it bog bad when it goes into vtec? How bad out of time would it have to be for it to do this.

I think your brakes might be dragging.

same thread in the all motor forum.

same answer, as Dr Latino and B19, check timing.

If it is corect then set your cam gears to zero.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by goonslude &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I think your brakes might be dragging.</TD></TR></TABLE> That's the most random response ever to a question involving a motor bogging down during a certain RPM.

Thanks for all the help so far guys. I'm just going to keep this going in the all motor forum instead of taking up space here. Thanks go out especially to goon for the awesome reply.
