Default Aftermarket headlights dimmer than stock?

I have had aftermarket headlights in a few different vehicles and was NOT impressed with the performance at all. Had they not looked good, they would have been sold on eBay! Several of my friends have experienced the same thing. I havent seen or heard about aftermarket headlights for an Integra so im a little iffy wheather or not to get some. My question is: Are there any headlights that, with no other additions such as HIDs or brighter bulbs, actually improves visability and/or light output? Thanks guys!

HIDs improve it drastically. As long as you stay 10k+
It might be 5k that gives you the most light output I forgot. Search for HIDs and you should find a comparisons between different color HIDs. I love mine.

I was wanting to know if there were any headlight assemblies that improved light output without the addition of brighter bulbs or HIDs. I do want HIDs though! Im just scared to get a cheap set, but dont have the cash to get a good set, ya know?

PM Operatic, he'll hook you up with some good HID's for cheap, either 140 or 160 shipped with a 1 yr warranty, you aren't gonna get much brighter with halogens unless you get some sylvania's or something

tell him i sent you

What brand name are the HIDs? $140 or $160 would be great, but i've never seen a decent set for under $400

as far as i can tell from the box, the brand is car light international, mike the guy selling them is very helpful and overnight shipping is included in that price. you can check out team integra for onex hid kits for 230 from tunerzimage. they have been getting good reviews also
