i was also told ill have to dent somethin in the engine back to get it to fit. i dont supposed its possible to fit it any other way right? but umm... how big of a dent are we talkin? lmfao.
It should be very close to the same a DOHC Vtec swap minus hooking up the Vtec of course. It will bolt up the same, I say use your Si harness since the LS harness wont plug up to your engine bay harness. You will likely have to extend some wires on your Si harness to fit the LS motor properly (But maybe not). It is a pretty straight foward swap, just use all the B16/B18 Vtec swap info and that should give you what you need
I would say the LS is the easies of any B series swap, since you have an SI you will have almost no wiring to change, when i did my swap the only wire I had to extend was for the fan switch sensor but that was because i was swapping in a B18b the OBD0 B18a1 have the switch located in the same spot as the D series...pretty much a plug and play swap get the proper mounts and linkage and everything bolts right in...as for the ent for ALL B swaps you need to dent the drivers side frame rail to allow room for the alternator for adjustment you can find pictures and how-tos all over the web its the same as a B16 swap and fr some older mounts you will need to dent down the lip on the rear croossmember to aloow the rear mount bracket to clear it, I believe all the new billet mounts have eliminated the need to do that youshould be able to find a parts list but i'll run some stuff of my head quick:
B series EF swap mount and Linkage
90-93 Integra rad houses
90-93 Integra Throttle cable
90-93 Integra Axles and matching Mid Shaft

i just really need to know the wiring part i guess. but is that all i really might need to do is extend the fan wires? jw.
yea we pulled out the D16a6 and left the harness attached to it sat the D16a6 and the B18b next to each other and then just swapped the harness over, it was really easy I think doing the vac lines was harder

extend what wires? i have a bone stock 89 si harness on my b18a in my car and it dont have to extent anything, about the hardest thing and only thing you have to do is bang the frame in by the alt pulley. thats about it.
What else do you need to know? you dont have to extend any wires, except for the fan switch if you have a 18b instead of the b18a, and you need to dent in by the alt.
don' tyou need to run the fuel pressure control solenoid wires to ecu? or is that on my hf lol
you don't need to dent in at the alt if your using a b18b just use a smaller alt belt, i think from the b16 from the del sol... ( not sure though) it should move it out of the way ...

It is still very tight and if the engine rocks back the alternator could hit the wall of the engine bay and suck. Smack it with a big hammer covered in a towel so it doesnt chip the paint and cause rust in a bad location.
if your using any of the b series motor mounts.... the engine doesn't move at all... well it moves at most 1/8 of an inch, i wacked my engine bay and i regret it... it looks like ****... its the sore spot on my car
Ah, the engine DOES move unless you are using solid mounts. You arent going to see it move if you stand there and watch it while pulling the throttle cable. You will however see it if you put a camera in the engine bay and lay into the throttle hard and shift quickly. All the torque that the engine creates isnt 100% applied to the ground, it loses some as the engine twists, and it loses some in a million other places.
you people are retarded and feeding her full of bs, mounts are mounts from hasport to ebay they all seem to hold every motor ive installed in a ef very snug and it doesnt move, i can put my car in neutral and move the whole thing before the engine moves by just grapping the intake manifold. all youll need is a shift linkage,ef b series mounts, and 90-93 integra axels. slap it in, use your stock harness and plug everything in. plug your different ecu in and your done

the dent thing... TRY the b16 alt belt first no harm in it if it doesn't return it...
possible wire switches: no one helps anymore in this place... no wire "switches", but there is a possibility that you need the fuel pressure control solenoid from an integra...

happy motoring </TD></TR></TABLE>Just wait until the poly bushings break in...then it'll move. My Hasport mounts were stiff-solid for about 2 months, then they softened right up after some good abuse. You do need to dent the framerail though...what happens when you have to change your alternator belt? You're going to have to drop the motor just to change a belt
Oh, and I've had both an LS and a B16 in my hatchnack, it doesn't matter which belt you use, it's still too close to the rail.
