Turbo ITR blowing white smoke only at startup ? help ....
heya guys
i was told by a friend of mine that my car blows white smoke each time i start up the engine, i didnt even know that before he actually told me, so i really dont know how long this been going on
its basically blows white smoke for like 2-3sec max and then stops
i've sort of done my research on H-T old posts and the white smoke doesnt have that sweet-burning-coolant smell at all and im not losing water/coolant
i changed my oil about 3days ago and the old oil looks normal black, there was no sign of coolant present and there is no milky / mayonaise on the bottom of my oil cap and my coolant looks perfectly clear green still
i even trashed the living hell out of the car for about 10mins boosting and the water level on my resevoir bottle remain the same, didnt overfill or anything so that comes to the conclusion that my headgasket still in good condition
the engine basically fully rebuilt with new rings, gaskets and seals not long ago
about 3000miles max
please help

it is caused by bad valve seals or worn valve guides not too bad of a fix if it just the seals you can do it without removing the head
This effect is also caused by water vapor in the fuel lines and/or gas tank.
I'm going to take a stab here that you don't have a catalytic converter...?

OMG is it cold where you live?
I don't think there is anything to worry about. If there was a problem it would be more obvious. If it was valve related and you were burning oil, the smoke would be BLUE.
