White smoke ? HELP ?
I have a EM1 that is turbo'd. It is blowing white smoke, im thinking the turbo oil seals are bad ? ? I just put a new head gasket and ARP's on it, so im almost positve thats not the prob.
The smoke smells like oil, not coolant. If i get on it and hit full boost, my friend said it doesn;t smoke but it's after i stop or park it smokes.
Does that sound like, turbo seals?
Or maybe build up on the oil seal rings on the pistons ?

Did you find the problem?
Asking because I have the same issue, white smoke when parked or stationary for longer period of time, water heats up a little more.
Just got the head gasket changed but that wasnt the problem. Still smoking white..

Re: White smoke ? HELP ?
turbo seals would make great sense if we knew if it was oil or water cooled...
Othe wise you may have a different problem, under full boost you are increasing cylinder pressures thefore not giving cooland the ability to enter the combustion chamber, but under decel the coolant returning and is burnt (white smoke.)
Does you coolant look like it has oil in it?
Pull your dip stick, does it look milky??

Re: White smoke ? HELP ?
Pull the downpipe and chargepipe off. Check and see if you have oil in either or. If there is nothing there, sounds like a headgasket problem.

oil does burn white and high temp. it's the rings dude homie's EG hatch was boosting and it whould smoke during idle turned out his rings where gone. and for some pople what to take **** to me oil burnes white when its farley fresh and hot. once agin dont beleve me show planes that fly in the sky use oil on the muffler or on the ex manifold to make the white smoke.
