Default Is there anyway to trouble shoot a MAP sensor (89 prelude SI)

Hey guys i have been messing around with this car for a long time now and it seems like i have checked everything. I have gotten rid of all the codes so far except for the map code.

I know there is a box on the firewall that has all the hoses and is the vacuum control. But is there something else i might need to check

I want to trouble shoot it before i just go buying new stuff. please help me out, thanks

Make sure the map is plugged in, the wires are sound, and the vac hoses are sound, beyond that you can't do much troubleshooting.

If none of those show a problem, replacing it isn't very expensive.

just make sure all your hoses and wires are in good condition and there are no vacume leaks if this is correct then replacingthe map sensor is not to expensive bro max $60 at your local parts store, post anymore questions if you have em i have have same car...

ok i checked all that as much as i could (tons of snow today)
it will idle fine, then right when you give it gas it will stumble and backfire a little bit, then when it gets about about 2,000rpm, its fine. is that a map sensor side effect?
