Default MAP sensor

I have had a 01' Prelude of about 8 months now, for the past few months I have been having problems with my car, occasionally it will stall out and throw a code of the MAP sensor. This will happen at idle and at normal driving speeds. I have replaced the MAP sensor once and it didn’t happen for about a month or 2, now it has started doing it again. What would cause the car to throw a map sensor code and stall out? The car also has a VAFC installed if this makes any difference. The only possible cause for this that I have found is a clogged cat., what else could cause this? HELP!
