Alright so i'm pretty sure i've got the most of the procedure figured out....now i need to know.....when i go buy oil lines for my turbo....can i get them off of ebay(kuz i mean how cheap can an oil line be?) or is there a better online store, or can i just go to autozone/o-reiley's,etc. But mainly.....does anyone have any good detailed instructions/(mainly a visual picture) for me to look at, for how to run the oil lines from whatever they go from to the turbo, to wherever they go next...? if so please let me know a.s.a.p. Thanx ( i have a d16y7)

p.s.>>What size (cc) fuel injectors would be a good choice to get in the future when i want to bump up to more psi. with my turbo? i found some 250cc on Nopi, for $80.....are they alright or what size would i need to (in the future) run my turbo at 15psi.

i got all of my fittings and stainless steel lines from http://www.mcmaster.com for $48. Search the forced induction forum, there is a thread that gives you parts numbers and everything

there's an oil feed line which goes from your oil pressure sensor port to the turbo, (usually steel braided line) and an oil return line goin from the turbo to the top of the oil pan, in a negative slope. oil lines are roughly the same quality no matter what you buy.. it's one of the only turbo components i would purchase on ebay.

get with steve and he will hook you up. BUT by the sounds of it you have a long ways to go before you boost your car. stock injectors are 240cc, so 250s arent going to get you much more fuel. do ALOT of research before attempting to turbocharge your car.

 

also, make sure you build that motor up as well before you put more than like 8-9 psi onto the wastegate. you'll blow it up if you're not careful. and you might want to get like 440cc injectors if you ever do want to build up your motor and bump your boost up... but re-tune it as well. a turbo is just a turbo, the power's all in the tune.

 

cant you just run it at a low psi. so it's not much boost at first until he gets bigger internals, injectors, fuel pump and others?

 

you're still gonna need bigger injectors than 250cc for any turbo setup even if the wastegate is at stock boost... you'll run incredibly lean and end up blowing your motor. schardbody's right, before you slap a turbo on a car, research it and make sure you've got all the right components and set everything up correctly.

 

Get your oil line from http://Fast-turbo.com, they have pretty good prices. -3 is the standard for Oil liine to turbo.

For your injectors you can do what everyone is doing just get yourself some DSM 450cc ones and add the resistors or you can search H-T Market place for some. There is always someone selling the 450cc cause it's too small for many and you might luck out on a killer price.

^^Everything said above is true except one. You dont ALWAYS need new injectors. I ran 5 psi on a stock block z6 for over three years using the stock injectors with absolutely no problem. Car put down 178HP at 5 psi w/ open DP which was decent enough. I upgraded to dsm blue tops when i ran 10 psi though for safety reasons.

Other than that, everthing is true. I didnt catch what motor you're using but if its a D series try turbod16.com
