Default stock B18B quater mile time...

hey whats up, sorry for the noob question, i've done a search but nothing came up.....

what time are you guyts running with stock B18B's over the quater mile??

im just trying to get some indication of what i can expect to get tomorrow, im having my first timed runs so i wanna know if what i get is good or not?? although the traction here in South Africa (well i've heard especially my local strip) is really bad...

my car is as follows..

99 ek ferio
B18B (came stock in the car in south Africa)
SHORT RAM INTAKE/4-1HEADER/51MM 3 BOX EXHAUST
195/50/15 yokohama A539 tyres...

what do you guys think ishould get with this setup??

/*ps i know this should prob. go in the hybrid forum but i figgured that most guys who do a swap do some work before dropping the engine, there must be a couple guys withINTERNALLY stock LS's... lemme know your times!!!

ps here's my car...

thanks in advance

awesome, yr coupe is clean as a whistle!!

good time too!!

i think with the traction here i might pull a 15.5 at best... its so bad i spin into 3rd with a stock B18b

im guessing that clutch and flywheel helped you quite bit

thanks man!
I just know that when I peiced together the setup, I could have got a b16 but I think the b18b is a better choice as it can be a beast of a NA engine or slap on a vtec head a few additional parts and you can have a great ls/vtec.

I think what helped was a combination of the flywheel, short gearing of the SIR transmission and the CTR n1 crank pulley

well, with your current clutch/flywheel/factory crank pulley, transmission gearing...and the weight of the 4dr your maybe looking at mid/high 15's?

hard to say tho man

my boy ran a 16.3 in his 4door ferio with I/E/H, so with that same set up on a B18B, you should expect something around 15.7ish...maybe lower if you know how to drive...post up a slip with you find out...

What chassis? how much did it weigh? stripped or full? hard to believe.

Have a time slip?

exactly.
My car is a big heavy, but lighter then a factory 94+ teg and with all the I/H/E, tranny, flywheel and crank pulley I was only able to pull out the lowest of a 15.0020

I could understand hitting a 14.7 max, but 14.2 is hard to believe without a timeslip

The interior was stripped at that time. Now its back to normal just because i wanted it clean inside. Its a B18B1 in a 94 Civic Hatch. This was a while ago. I don't have the time slip no more but i'm planning to go run again when i get the Ls-V in. lol
