b18b swap
hey, im swapping a b18b into my eg. i have to get rid of the torqueless d. no offense to the d guys. anyways, im just wondering what gains i can expect. and how the guys who have done it, if they like it. thanks.

its nice gain. my vx ran 16.7 on the 1/4, the ls ran 14.8. these figures are with everything stock. the b18b is nice to drive around town because its linear and you can drive it under 2000 rpm and be ok.

14.8 on a stock ls??? seeing that your in so cal whats the elevation there

actually, the 14.8 was run in alaska. elevation 1000 ft ASL, air temp around 70 F. both figures were from when i ran it in alaska. i haven't taken it to the drag strip here in so cal yet.

A stock ls is considerably faster than any stock single cam. I'm not saying its anything amazing, but you will notice a moderate difference. Plus its alot more driveable like someone else said. The biggest advantage to it is that is has a lot of potential, so don't expect to be t3h w1n with just the swap.
