I beleive your tuner will tell you the exact psi, seeing as all motors are not exactly the same. Not to mention what octane gas your using.

Im sure you will find your self in the 6-9 psi range. But again your tuner will be able to give you an exact explanation.

It's not really the psi, the power made from different sized turbos at the same boost is all different.
One turbo can make like 300 hp or so at 10 psi, and another may only make 275 or so..

GSRs can handle up to around 300-350 hp.. Ive heard a lot of different things, but when I turbo mine I'm not gonna go much past 270 or so.

stick it at 7-9 psi youll make decent power and be more than happy with it as a street car...However I suggest you look into a different turbo manifold..The drag manifold is just screaming Boost Creep

it's not that you can't make 400 whp on a stock block, it's that the block won't take it for very long. the t3/t4 in a drag kit is good for 400+ whp, that doesn't mean that the stock motor will last very long. on a stock motor i would definitely stay under 300, especially if the car is a dd and gets beat on.

If you want max hp your tuner should keep upping the boost until its in that sweet spot before stressing the engine. I'm boosting off the WG @ 7psi, I could have probably been able to join the 300 club w/ 8 psi but I don't want to take that risk right now.

my GSR made 275whp for 5 months and had about 6-7k miles put on it as my DD....i also beat the **** out of it every day.

My new setup should be in the 330-350whp range and i plan to be just as relentless on it and beat it hard daily....i'm not worried

I only drive the car in the summer so at that point it went into storage and then i built my new setup on it and was lucky enough to be able to put about 100 miles on the new setup before the snow came....it didnt blow up or anything....

it sounds like you don't put on very much mileage on it then. i'm sure the 350 whp will last for a while. i drive about 30k a year, so my outcome would be different from yours.

once a week isn't ****. i wouldn't spend all that $ on a turbo just to feel it once a week. redline a couple gears daily and see how long it lasts.

I end up in boost every day. Maybe not full boost to redline, but ill see 4-5 psi at 6k atleast 3 times a day.

right on . that's how its supposed to be driven. if i get a few minor problems taken care of this weekend i'll be getting my turbo tuned next week . aiming for 250-275 whp.
