NO VTEC...MOTOR CUTS OUT AT 5000 ROM Could u help

Like it says...no vtec and motor cuts out at 5k check engine light is on and it throws a vtec oil pressure switch code. Is there a way to bypass it. Ive heard there is but the diagram I found is from a 0bd1 motor. I have a obd2 b18c1 in a ek9 Bone stock swap.

Don't fix the problem...just bypass the sensor telling you there is on....real bright. Maybe you should figure out why you dont have oil pressure and/or wire up the oil pressure sensor to the ecu.

might seem obvious but have you checked your oil level? when's a buddy's car was low on oil vtec wouldn't kick in.

Obd2 vtec motors don't have Vtec oil pressure valve i'm told. What ecu u runnin? Is it obd1 ecu?

Some JDM models dont have it.....all US (obd i and II) have it.
